swandme
Has anyone tried the new E.A.R Plugs . They look interesting but I have hearing loss in my left ear from a muzzle break on a AK from 15 years ago and I am always nervous about product that is sound activated. I know the new Digital electronic muff and plugs work well as I have a pair of both. Here is the link. http://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/item...?sku=0014197079 Any info would be great. EricW
After losing my custom plugs and getting the run-around on getting a new set made, I decided I liked these better: http://www.tasco-safety.com/earplugs/reusa...plugs.html#9400 Go to the middle of the page and look at: DPAS-30 Cheaper than custom plugs these days and semi-disposable. They're also rated at a much better dB reduction than the plugs you listed. I bought a 100 pack of the HL's for under $100 delivered. Figured it will last me 5 years or so... uscbigdawg
I bought a pair of the Surefire plugs and they are incredible. For $10, it's impossible to beat. Like Eric, I could never get with someone to make custom plugs. These more than fit the bill. Rich
swandme
I have some of the Tasco's and they work well but I am looking to hear more around me. I will try a pair of the surefire's Thanks
EricW
I have the surefires. I only use them for hunting. They don't have nearly enough reduction for anything but VERY occasional use - say bagging three pheasants. They're no way you could use them around a braked rifle and not suffer hearing loss. If you need to hear, you need electronic ears.
