dlee14
I want to build a competition AR rifle. I like the look of billet and everything else being equal, want it to be made of 7075 alum. So far, the only ones I can find available in the market are Stubborn Mule and Tactical Innovations. I don't think JP sells the lowers separately, Vltor doesn't make one, and Sun Devil are made of 6xxx series alum. Correct me if I am mistaken, but I think I only have 2 choices. Which is the best and why? Thanks.
LadyinBlue
Go the Dealers Forum and click on Firebird Firearms. Or try this link Firebird Firearms I beleive those receivers are built with 7075 aluminum. Edited April 27, 2008 by LadyinBlue
norbs007
Amazing that I was just comparing the two. I just ordered an SMOS SM-15, they will be making the lowers for LaRue Tactical and I'm a big fan of LaRue. However, Tactical Innovations will be coming out with something similar. HSMITH
I'd go with a Firebird before I went with anything else. It is different, and all of it in a good way. With the others you are getting a billet lower that is just like all the rest out there.
Larry White
I saw the Firebird rifle at the double tap match. Didnt get to shoot it but it is an impressive rifle. and its made by forum member Gentleman Jim. He has a site in the Dealers section here.------------Larry
