I loved it when I first saw it in the theater, and I still love watching it. Opening scene: A preppy stockbroker waltzes into a bank, whips out a shotgun, robs it, walks up to the security camera, smiles, then blasts it straight to hell. Preppy jumps into a Ferrari, cranks up the headbanger music and drives it to pieces. It's sheer genius. See it just to behold a brilliantly quirkly piece of acting by Kyle McLoughlin. Original. Duane Thomas Posted June 9, 2003 Share Posted June 9, 2003 Eric, Like you, saw it when it first came out and still love watching it. There are images in The Hidden that flirt with brilliance. A favorite: the overweight, blue collar white guy walking down the street with a boom box. The relationship between the Kyle McLaughlin and Michael Nouri characters is great, kind of like Kirk/Spock but with more emotional depth from both characters. And ah! that red dress.
