Scootertheshooter Posted September 11, 2013 Share Posted September 11, 2013 For $150-200 you can make a pretty good custom basic sturdy bench. I picked up a Formica counter that was a little damaged at lowes that was 10 foot for like $75. Got a bunch of 2x4's and had some plywood laying around but even of I didn't for less than $150 you could get all the materials needed. I would even have them cut the wood so it could go together like a kit after you figure out what you want . I mounted it right to the wall so it's not going anywhere. The cabinets and bench to the right was from my kitchen remodel so I already had that stuff. The Formica is extremely easy to clean and holds up well.
