ar15performance
I hate burning out the throat of my match barrels in high round count events and I have an idea. What length is the best in your opinion and what about weights? mid weight somewhere between a HBAR and a light weight Like .830 under the guard and .730 to the muzzle? 8 twist? lets here it I guess I missed a button for the poll so 16, 18 or 20" Edited January 31, 2008 by ar15performance

jobob
I agree with Jim. And that's exactly the specification of my POF. One nice feature of the POF is an extra large finned barrel nut which acts as a heat sink, and should help alleviate throat erosion problems. It adds some weight, but is worth it, imo. Chrome lined bore and chamber help too.
ar15performance
I have a POF lower setup on my P. dog and long range 3gun rifle a 5.56x42DMR.(5.56SPC) I like the mid-weight 18" too but I needed to confirm my thoughts before I ordered 50 barrels. thanks for the replys
