bierman
Not sure if this is the right place or not, but my daughter wants me to paint the synthetic stock for her 10/22. I have not painted a stock before, so is there anything special I need to know before I proceed? Any advice at all will be appreciated.
GentlemanJim
I have used automotive paints on plastic stocks..primer base coat clear coat. I like house of colors... Also krylon fusion works well...but has MUCH less color choice. Sanding plastic can just make it fuzzy...I use soap and water to remove any oils ...then very lightly scuff with a scotch brite. Make it pretty for her Jim

Vlad
I did a stock with krylon fusion, worked fine but go easy in multiple light coats. I used a primer and a paint just to make sure because I wanted a textured finish, but the paint alone might be just fine.
