STG77
Is the M4FA/FA556A version legal? It's 4" long, but part of it extends back over the barrel, the actual "brake" section is only about 2". I have the M4FA suppressor, would love to know this.
John Dunn
There is another thread on legal brakes here somewhere. Pretty much everything is legal for USPSA Open class, JP tank brake, etc. For Limited/Tactical the dimensions are limited to 1" diameter by 3" length. The 3" length is measured from the end of the barrel, with the brake attached, thus another brake with an overall length of 3.25" was ruled legal. I think you are good to go. Maybe Kurt or George or the other 3 gun gurus could weigh in. Where is George, anyway?
Chuck Anderson
It's legal. That comp was designed with a lot of input from a very seasoned three gun competitor. I know that he designed it in part to be Tactical legal.
