sprout Posted November 28, 2007 Share Posted November 28, 2007 I just purchased an Armalite 20" A4 upper with a A2 front sight, and I'm thinking of buying a Weaver 1-3x22 sight. trevoro Posted November 28, 2007 Share Posted November 28, 2007 With the Weaver set at 1x, you are going to see the front sight no matter what mount you use. I had one mounted on a 20 inch gun, and I could see the comp in the field of view. The Weaver is a great scope for the money, and you will have the same problem with any 1x with a wide FOV. So given that, you should probably just use the rings that give you a good sight picture. I have a set of WARNE 1" medium height tactical rings that I'll sell you cheap. They are NIB.
