I did something horrible to my back Thursday night; it's getting better but it still took 15 minutes to get out of bed this morning. The proximate cause: practicing the turn-draw!

Guess you have to stretch for the shooting sports, too...

But yes: I really was doing Refinement and Repetition drills. And I have to confess that this has put a kink in my practice schedule as well as my posture.

One of the things I have to watch on this drill is keeping my index upright. There's a tendency to lean forwards on the turn, to 'lean into' the targets. I think this 'feels faster', but it's really not. The turn-lean puts a lot more torque on the low back and ... you know what that feels like the morning after.

I feel for you... I was working Friday and just reached for something and pop. I'm thinking, you have got to be shitting me. Limped through the rest of the day on Advil. I'm hoping it will be good enough for Sun match. :(
