I would not use vinegar to clean the lens because vinegar is a type of acid oiw it's corrosive-- yikes !!!!. If a drip/tiny amount ran inside the sight housing it could cause other problems. Windscreen washer fluid and headlight lens polish etc would be fine. I've been getting away with using reading glass wipes- bought from local chemist.
