hopalong
Bones, You MAY shoot the 627 in revolver division in USPSA..................... You MUST reload after every 6 shots though. Hop
Viggen
As hopalong suggests, shooting a 627 in USPSA Revolver is very doable. Count to 6 - Reload. And be sure to declare Major or Minor accurately. You just have to stay aware of the stage and round situation.
Bones
I stand corrected. I am weak - having the extra rd available is just too tempting. I was a proponent of allowing 686+s and 627s in IDPA ESR too, but the decision went the other way - no matter. I'll stick w/Ltd 10 - it's been working out pretty well. 8 shots seems like just the right number for most positions/stages based on USPSA stage design and I've been using USPSA to practice for ICORE. I get plenty of reloading opportunities in IDPA. Besides, beating up in the local L10 shooters still has a special attraction for me. Thanks for the clarification.
