CSEMARTIN
Ted, Thanks for the information. This is the first time I'm flying with more than 11 pounds so I'll be shipping ammo. The only problem is I'm running into problems. The US Post Office refuses to ship ammo. The UPS people tell me that I'll have to attend a seminar, and FedEx claims that I will have to be hazmat certified. I know there was a good thread here with all the regulations- I'm searching for it right now. I think I've run into people that don't know what they are doing. Any help would be appreciated. Rob Boudrie
UPS is mistaken. #1: You need to got a UPS depot, not UPS store. If it's in an industrial area and there are a boatload of UPS trucks around, you've probably found the depot. #2: Ground shipping only. #3: You are shipping ORM-D, **NOT** Hazmat. It should be labeled "Catridges, Small Arms - ORM-D" I think the person you spoke to confused ORM-D with Hazmat. Hazmat is worse, and you need to have a "hazmat contract" - agreeing to terms like full financial responsibility for any cleanup regardless of who is at fault for the spill of the hazardous material.
