aggunner
I really don't like having to use a tool to take down my STI tactical. Is there anything out there that wouldn't require a tool for take down?
foxtrotuniformlima
You can always use a full length guide rod w/ reverse plug instead.
HSMITH
Ag, do you have a recoil master? Is the gun bull barrel? Sorry for the dumb questions but I don't keep up on the factory guns. If it is a bushing barrel gun you can switch to a GI type recoil system and won't need any tools, if it is a bull barrel gun you will at least have to have a paper clip to take it down. I really don't like having to have a tool to take a gun down, but it some cases that is what we are forced to do. EDIT: Dawson makes a tool-less full length guide rod that is really pretty slick, you could use it if you have a bull barrel gun. JFD
The tooless guide rods are unavailable from Dawson at the moment, so they could be difficult to find. I haven't tried to find one, but noticed they aren't available from Dawson's web site. I don't keep up with factory guns either, so I have no idea what options are available for that gun.
