Viggen
How does the Jet speedloader differ from the Safariland Comp 3? Is it better, and if so, why? I have tried the SL Variant out of Germany. A very nice design but it seems that the plactic shell retainer piece would wear rather quickly if you practiced a lot. They are also quite expensive. Any opinions? spook
You shoot one of the L-frames right? Why not convert it to a moonclip gun? Clips are cheap and easy in use. If you stick to speedloaders, I would buy the ones that last so I could practice a LOT.
Viggen
Yes, it is an L frame. I am being stubborn and staying with the speedloaders. When I go to moonclips it will be when I get a 625, not before. 1.5 sec with moons,hmm... that's a good time.
spook
Yep, 1,5 sure is good. I've never timed myself getting a 1,5 reload. Fastest I've timed is just a hair under 2 secs. But I know I've done them faster. Probably around 1,7 tops. Moonclips are the best.
George D
The Safariland Comp 3 is a jet-loader. I've tried a number of speed loaders, including the earlier offerings from Safariland, and, IMHO, the Comp 3 is the best by far.
Alan550
The Safariland Comp 3 is the fastest thing out there as far as speedloaders goes. ( A moon clip isn't a loader, IMHO) A nice long handle and positive ejection, once contact is made with the gun's ejector. No real pressure required and certainly no "twist" like some of the others. The moons are so much faster, but if you're going the other route, stick with the Safarilands.
