NODAK
The pin on the front of the rear sight has started working itself out when shooting,is there a fix for this?
Chuck Merriam
Common problem with STI rear bomar like sights. You need to make sure the pin has not split in two pieces. Sometimes they just look like they are moving out but are just floating back and forth. If it is broken I do think you can send it back to STI for a replacement if you have not had the gun too long. Scout454
I've broken rear sight pins on 2 different STI's in the past 3 months. I replaced both with sections of numbered drill bits. Don't remember the size but it was a slip fit and I put a dab of Green (bearing and sleeve retainer) Locktite on the last 1/8" of the pin as I pushed it in. 2,000 rounds later and it's still good. JSCHIEFEN
I had the same problem on an Edge. STI sent me replacement pins and that worked for a couple thousand rds. I then went to a roll pin of the correct size and green loctite. End of problem.
Merlin Orr
The pin on the front of the rear sight has started working itself out when shooting,is there a fix for this? The easy fix (which I use) is Bomar.

NODAK
Thanx all, sounds like the drill bit and loctite cure is what I'll try.
