randy01
I'm going to build a new reloading bench at the new house and found some nice ideas in the king of all threads on this board in the gallery, but was wondering what the ideal space would be between a 550 and a 650 both with strong mount and case feeder? dajarrel
I don't know about ideal but my 650 and 550 have about three feet between them. The 650 is on a strong mount and the 550 is mounted directly to the bench. I never really thought about it when I mounted my 650 but it hasn't been an issue. Plenty of room. basman
I have 2 550's on strong mounts on an 8' bench. I have 2' between the base of the strong mounts(edge to edge). plenty of room to clean guns in between.
Nemo
My ideal spacing between machines would be like 8 feet. That would mean I finally have my dream gun/reloading room. But that's not the case. My 550 and 650 are both on strong mounts and are 2 feet apart on my bench. The footprint of the strong mounts is: 650: 10" front to back X 12" side to side 550: 10" front to back X 12-3/4" side to side Hope this helps.
