ExtremeShot Posted March 7, 2007 Share Posted March 7, 2007 Im getting ready to install my first C-More Serendipity. I've read a lot about the mount cracking if you torque it down too much. Has anyone tried putting a metal spacer/washer between the screws and the Serendipity in order to spread the load over a larger area (essentially it would be sandwiching the Serendipity between the metal washer and the gun)? Having 4 washers on the ouside would look dorky, however, a nicely shaped, thin, metal piece that spanned the entire length of the pad, shaped like the pad, may not look too bad. If the holes are drilled right in the frame, there shouldn't be any extra strange pressures... shouldn't be a problem....
