pierce195
I have a springfield TRP with factory nights sites and I would like to change them out for something a little faster. How hard is it to chage 1911 sights? I have changed a lot of glock sights, but never messed around with the sights on a 1911. Scout454
Wood will work but nylon or delrin is better. No chance of marring the sight and it won't splinter like wood will.
Carmoney
Careful, if you don't want to damage the night sights, you'd be better off using a sight pusher. I installed a set of night sights for a local law enforcement officer with a drift punch and hammer one time as a favor, and in the middle of his next shift he noticed that two of the little tritium lights had gone out. I replaced the night sights for him at my own expense, so it cost me $100 to do a favor. Edited March 5, 2007 by Carmoney
