the duck of death Posted August 7, 2002 Share Posted August 7, 2002 I went to a IDPA match where the director indicated hostages by cutting off the upper part of the target and painting open hands on it. This was then stapled to a target. In the heat of shooting the stage I shot every hostage making sure I did not shoot the small panel that had the hands. I spent an evening drinking with a couple of SAS gents a few months ago, after we had a big shootup on there range with all sorts of toys. God I love the gun business. Conversation got round to real shooting. One of them said the following. Never wound a hostage, kill them outright. The survivors will be so glad they lived that they will not testify against you.
