Federal Sp Primers And .40 Cal Lee Press?

All: I've used both Winchester and CCI primers in loading for my .40 S&W, and they work just fine, with the Winchester offering less muzzle flash for the indoor range where I practice.

I've read elsewhere on this forum that the Federal SP primers are the thing for use with the Glock .40, and I am happy to give that a try.

The issue I have is that I use a Lee Classic Turret press with the round primer trays in the Safety Prime system. I am quite content with this setup, as mostly I load rifle, not pistol, and most of that is best loaded in a quasi single stage fashion, which this press enables me to do.

Question: How to get the Federal primers from that great big box into that relatively small diameter primer tray? Anybody have a method that works without detonating the little buggers?

Get a 100count plastic bullet box (like Sierra, Speer), slide the sleeve half way, dump in 50, remove sleeve and dump in the rest. Pour from box to tray, shake as usual.

That's the way I did it.
