Tattoo
Hey All, I'm reloading for .30 Carbine and wondered if anyone had any info on what they use for a size for their taper crimp? The reloading manuals show case mouth a .336 so what do you crimp to? I used .332 and have not test fired. Some factory Remington ammo I have shows .330 to .329, which seems excessive. Any thoughts..... TIA Tattoo

(cartridge drawing) The Lyman manual states..."do not crimp bullets as this will prevent the case from properly headspacing on its mouth." Edit...This is for revolver data. hope this helps, 41mag Edited January 27, 2007 by 41mag
George
Just flatten the case mouth back to flush against the bullet. No need to actually indent the bullet with the case mouth.
