newshooter
Hello to all and merry Christmas to every one! I just opened up my present which was a case feeder for a 650. I was wondering on how the clutch system works on it. Is there any adjusting that needs to be done or it should be set at the factory already. Thanks for taking the time to reading this post just another question i had. Joey
Merlin Orr
I just bought one from another Forum member and it was set correctly from the factory... Now I am thinking that the one it is replacing just needed an adjustment rather than replacement....
dillon
How the clutch works is the screw is run loose enough that if a case jams, the motor shaft can force itself past the set screw instead of stopping the motor and burning it up. Most people ignore this, and keep it tight; this just requires paying attention to when cases fail to feed into the feed tube.
