Ron Ankeny
I am taking a break from shooting limited and I have been shooting a little open and limited 10. I was just looking at my classication page and I am wondering if there is much difference in the high hit factors between open and L10. I have shot about 6,000 rounds through my open gun and I thought I was making progress. However, my open classifiers are running around 15-20 per cent lower than my limited 10 classifiers. Part of that is me making the transition. Still, I am curious about how a 80 per cent hit factor in L10 would compare (on average) to an open hit factor. Thanks. ErikW
I heard the big dogs shoot their Open guns at about 8% higher hit factors than their Limited guns.
Ron Ankeny
And I suppose that's the same crew that sets the high hit factors for classification purposes. I guess I just need to practice.
shred
Somebody posted this over on the IPSC list-- "The HHFs for Revolver are currently set at 90% of the HHFs for Limited for each classifier. The Production HHFs are at 95% of Ltd, and the L10 HHFs are equal to Ltd." I dunno if it's true, but if so, you can compare yourself to everything except open (Edited by shred at 8:14 pm on Sep. 13, 2002)
