wide45
Can someone tell me the thread size? I'd like to clean up the threads in the slide. Any advise on the best place to get a replacement screw?

dajarrel
I can't tell you the screw size, but here is a link to the the distributor info on the Bo-Mar site. OBTW, I emailed Mrs. Korzeniewski one evening and she replied the next morning with the information that I needed to get a sight repaired. Great service. wide45
This slide has a blind hole with a short threaded portion. Any reason why I should not drill and thread it all the way through to the firing pin tunnel?

wide45
Send it back to Bomar????Ivan Send what to Bomar? I want more thread engagment. Deeper hole, more threads. If I drill all the way through, wont have to grind the end of my tap to thread to the bottom.

Matt Cheely
Drill it all the way through, tap it, and then de burr the inside of the firing pin hole with a small file. Careful though, I do it in a mill. I think it's a #31 drill... Edited November 23, 2006 by Matt Cheely
Flexmoney
Right. Bomar directions I have say to start with a #21 and finish it with a #31:
wide45
Thanks again. I have the right tap and drill left from a scope mount project. Right. Bomar directions I have say to start with a #21 and finish it with a #31: #21 is way bigger than a #31 #26 is the right size to pilot off the hole in the sight base. Not that I need to.
