Law Dawg
I will be building a new open gun. STI frame and slide. The gun that I shoot with now is ported. I would like to build my new open gun with a Schuemann hybricomp 3 port. I hear different things from different people. I dont have problems with the blast of a ported gun. Can anyone that has used this barrel share their experiences?
BSeevers
I have a 4 port and it dips down on the second shot. It is less pronounced with the lower PF
joshua
With the new power factor I don't see the disadvantage, just go with a lighter comp like a 3 port. If it was me I'd go with a 2 port hybrid instead of 3 specially if using a hud sight. josh
Law Dawg
Josh, Do you know what company makes a two port hybrid barrel? I was trying to look for one last night, but I had no luck!
RKooi
I am currently in the process of having a short open gun built (latest rage...) I am using a Caspian commander slide and Schuemann AET commander Hybricomp barrel which utilizes 2 ports but has enough room for a 3rd. I am thinking of staying with the 2 ports instead of having my gunsmith drill the 3rd port as he has on his own gun (which by the way shoots flat and fast..) I'll compare and contrast the 2 configurations; if I like the 3rd port better I will add it. I'm currently shooting a 4 port hybrid with a 3 port comp and with the 165 PF I think the 2 or 3 port will be more efficient.
