There really is no right or wrong when it comes to trophy only vs. cash payback or prize table; just different. Each format has its proponents and detractors. Linda thanks for that breakdown! I too pledge my support to Mark and the RBGC crew! I know they will put on a great show!

Peter's breakdown is a good one. A cash payback or prize table match is going to have a higher entry fee by design, it is a necessity. It all depends on what you like; each format (trophy only, prize table, cash payback) has its fans. Different strokes for different folks. I certainly don't think the entry fee is out of line for a cash payback. Also, I wasn't trying to sabotage getting your entries in quickly if this match is going to be on your calendar (hopefully it is.) Enter early and often

Well, that is strange. Anyway I have 210 folks comin' to shoot. As this match is being run as a Level 2, the approval came from my SC and AD and not NROI. That is what the rulebook says to do. We are looking into it.

Before everyone gets too uptight, the star will be fixed in place; kinda like a star shaped plate rack, if you will.

What do you want stages for? So you can set 'em up and practice. I like keeping you in suspense.... We will try to have them up by tomorrow. By the way, Saturday is full. If you want to shoot the match, Friday has limited space.

Saturday AM is full. There are 6 slots open for Saturday PM.

As it stands right now, there are 8 slots left for Sat. AM and 14 left for Sat. PM. Friday has plenty of room.

OK, the email confirmations are on their way. The Saturday sessions are filling quickly with less than 20 slots available for each. There is room on Friday however. A couple stages need tweaking and then they will be up.

OK, let me try to answer some questions here. I will be sending out email confirmations within the next week or so. I was working A6 all last weekend, out of town for work this week and will be putting on CGC's monthly match this Saturday...if I can read your handwriting, you will get an email confirming your session within the next week or so. Don't worry if your check shows to be uncleared; we have only made one deposit so far and will make another next week. I will also post more information to the CGC website shortly. www.cherokeeipsc.org. The stages will be up just as soon as I get them approved by USPSA. Expect 5 field courses and 4 speed shoots (or thereabouts.) We don't have an official match hotel, never have. With the half day format we just opted to list some local motels. More as it develops...

The stages are not yet posted; I will let you know when they are. The squad list will most likely not be posted online.

We still have quite a bit of room left. We usually see the bulk of the entries come in during the month before match date. With the half day format and smaller squad size, it is important to get your entry in if you want Sat. AM especially. I will try to keep updating here as we get closer.

Alright, gotta chime in. After all it is my friend and teammate you are attempting to disparage here. Couple that with the fact that I witnessed the infamous tighty whitey incident as well, I feel that I can provide some valuable insight. We don't call that the Mongoose face in these parts, although it was proven unequivocally that the Mongoose is higher on the food chain than the pit viper at this match; so it is a nice moniker! No my friends, that is known as the Chrissy Kissy face! We see it every 2nd Saturday of the month when Mr. CPWSA shows up to give us a whippin at Cherokee. Who loves ya baby!

These are in fact the dates. June 15-16. Friday and Saturday, we don't shoot on Sunday until after 12:30 PM. Half day format (just like the last 3 at Cherokee.) 9 stages to be shot in one session. Choose one; Friday, Saturday AM or Saturday PM. First come first served and squads are limited to 7 shooters each. I hope to have the entry form available by the 2nd week of February.
