This past weekend we lost our section coordinator. Dave and I had our disagreements, but he was always there when we needed him. What more can one ask?

David W. Eickholt

David Wayne Eickholt, 48, of Boyce, died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006, at his home.

Mr. Eickholt was born Nov. 30, 1957, in Bucyrus, Ohio, the son of Bernard Joseph “Jack” Eickholt and Joanne Lewis. He was an electronics engineer for the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

He was a Navy veteran.

He was a member of the National Rifle Association, the Virginia Maryland Section Gun Club, the Izaak Walton League, and the Fredericksburg Rod and Gun Club.

He married Rebecca E. Eickholt on Dec. 14, 1974, in Bucyrus, Ohio.

Surviving with his father of Nevada, Ohio, and his mother, of Las Vegas, are two sons, Tad Eickholt of Bucyrus and Brad Eickholt of Fairfax; a daughter, Kimberly Eickholt of Fairfax; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Crums United Methodist Church, Berryville, with Pastor Hyo Lee officiating. Burial will be private.

Enders & Shirley Funeral Home, Berryville, is handling arrangements.
