That should be fine. He probably should have cut the feed ramp also, just looking at the side view it looks like it has a large flat area at the bottom that sometimes causes feeding issues.

The feed ramp has been cut as it protrudes into the magazine well of an STI frame and hits the magazine. A small dent on the right side would appear.

Here is a pic with of one with a dent, and the same one after milling and polishing.
