Carmoney
It's official, the notice is posted on the USPSA match calendar, and the entry form is posted here: http://www.ioweb.com/oops/ Note that only Single-Stack can be shot on Saturday, and only Revolver can be shot on Sunday. We will be changing the stages between the matches. Don't let the low price fool you, each of these back-to-back matches will be comparable to our Iowa Sectional that has been so well received over the past couple years. We can handle 60 shooters per match. This is going to be big fun, guys! You've seen all these articles in Front Sight about the good old days, right? Now's your chance to live it! Retro is cool, and it doesn't get any more retro in our game than 1911s and wheelguns! (Feel free to leave the tight shorts and tube socks in the bottom drawer, though.....) Stages are being finalized and approved as we speak. Each match will have 10 stages, including 6 long field courses, 3 speed shoots, and a classifier. Two of the long stages are through-the-woods "Rambo" style, these are really fun and very different than what you see at most shooting venues. There are plenty of motel options in the area, including a bona fide casino boat just a few miles down the road for those who like to roll the dice or play a little blackjack. Questions? Post here, or you can email or call me for more info.
Front Man
I had a blast shooting SS at OOPS two weeks ago. If I can get my vision corrected I want to shoot this match! As far as OOPS goes there is not a better group of people to shoot/compete with! FM

Carmoney
OK, the stages are posted and available for viewing! Go to the OOPS website: http://www.ioweb.com/oops/ Click the link to the match information page, and there's a link at the bottom that will pull up all the stages. 10 stages, including classifer 06-03. 192 rounds minimum. As with any match, the stages are subject to minor change without notice. We will be shooting the same stages for both matches (I didn't think we'd get this approved but USPSA said it's OK since the two divisions are different enough). But remember, these are two separate matches--1911 on Saturday, Revolver on Sunday. Yes, there are other places to shoot that weekend. But you will not get more shooting or more fun for your money anywhere else in the country, I'll promise you that! Don't wait too long to get your entries in. Carmoney
OOPS website: http://www.ioweb.com/oops/ A couple stages have been changed very slightly from the diagrams to conform with NROI's requirements. It will add slightly to the round count (which is right around 200 rounds minimum). The match is now approved and fully sanctioned by USPSA. We are on the radar! Guys, I'm excited about this one. Also a little apprehensive, as it is my first effort at helping build and organize a big match! The best thing you can do to help me out is SIGN UP if you haven't already done so already! We want this to be a great pair of back-to-back old-school matches. We're finalizing the plaque order this Sunday, so if you haven't sent in your entry but you know you're shooting the match(es) for sure, PM or email me right away so I can include you in the count. Plaques will be based on the number of entries received as of 7 a.m. Sunday. Please don't wait until the last minute. (But even if you do, we'll do our best to take ya!) Front Man
Look like great stages Mike! River of Chad is a kill! Anyone considering going to this match will not be disappointed and OOPS hospitality is second to none! FM
Carmoney
To help out those who are driving in the morning of the match, we have decided to start shooting each morning at 9:00 AM. Shooters should be at the range no later than 8:30 AM for a brief shooters meeting. Slots are still available!
Tripod
Just sent my application in to shoot the PSS on Saturday. $30 for ten stages beats any of the local club matches that weekend. Look forward to meeting some new shooting friends
Carmoney
Tripod--great!! Looking forward to seeing you there. The stages are pretty much set, and they look pretty dang cool! There's one stage called "The Wall" that will be a great test of strategy and stage break-down, because it appears there are several viable ways to run through it. The two woods stages are better than ever--on one, you work your way down the trail and across the creek on a footbridge, engaging targets all the way. The other woods stage has several activated moving targets to engage. Building stages is one thing--fine tuning them to (1) comply with USPSA course design requirements, and (2) make them fun to shoot (i.e. not too easy, not too hard) with both Single-Stack and Revolver is another challenge altogether. But I think we succeeded! For anybody still on the fence--it'll be worth the drive. We would like to have entry forms in ASAP, but we'll take sign-ups right up until the morning of each match. $30 for each match, or $50 to shoot both. Carmoney
Most of the staff will be shooting the match(es) on Friday. For those of you arriving on Friday, feel free to come on out to the range and check everything out. As long as you don't mess with the props, you are welcome to walk the stages anytime there's not a squad shooting. Participation is going to be excellent at both matches, but we will be able to accommodate walk-ons. Show up and shoot!
