Rob Boudrie
I hate it when I : - Publish a squadding and registration policy in advance - Am *ABSOLUTELY* consistent in how I treat competitors, especially in regards to the concepts of "first come, first serve" and "no, we will not hold slots while we wait for your form". BUT.... I *still* get emails like "Please put me in squad ## with Joe when my application arrives." Just include the request with you app. If I can do it, I will. But, emailing the request in advance only makes it hard to track as I will not turn someone away whose paid application arrives with that slot request before your does. ChuckS
It has to be a pain in the butt! I think that the self-squading system can fix the problem. Folks get registered and then they can choose the squad they want. In fact, a friend of mine pointed out that if you could register on line, pay with the moral equivalent of PayPal, pick your own squad, things would be great for everyone. jwrig
Squadding is the easiest job in the world. Just ask someone who's never done it.
