Musky Hunter
Hi, I am from Canada and shoot IPSC regularly in the Production division. I am going to shoot the USPSA Area 7 Championships in June and would like to know what i can and cannot use. I know in USPSA you cannot use race holsters. FWIW, this is my current setup. Glock 17 Gen. 3 Hienie Sight - 0.10 fronts Glock 3.5lb disconnector Glock Extended Mag Release CR Speed Belt and Mag Holders Ghost Holster. I have read you can mod the trigger and internals. What parts are recommended? Trigger parts? Do you recommend a Tungsten guide rod and springs. Any info will help. Thanks!!
vluc
Change the holster and you are good to go. if you already shoot production, and your gun does what you want it to, no need to change anything else. Oops...ten rounds only in magazines, save 11 for the loader. Edited May 17, 2006 by vluc
SRT Driver
+1 to vluc said. Can't tell from the picture but if you have a grip plug, they are a no no. Bladetech DOH holsters are popular for USPSA Production. If you want a cheap 2lb drop in trigger kit, check out www.triggerkit.com. I have a 2nd gen G17 sey up with the RS kit, Heinies, ISMI captured guide rod, 15lb spring, and grip tape. But if you shoot your current setup well..why change? Chris Keen
Everything you've listed should be fine ...... with the exception of the Ghost holster. Get a Bladetech holster or something similar.

Musky Hunter
Thanks for all that offered help and suggestions! I am all set... Factory Barrel Hienie Sights with thinned front Lightning Strike Titanium Plunger Lightning Strike STEEL Firing Pin Wolff Reduce Power Firing Pin Spring ISMI Captured SS Guide Rod ISMI Flat Wire 13lb Recoil Spring Factory Extended Mag Release Polished (mirror finish) Factory Trigger Bar Ultimate Trigger Stop Polished (mirror finish) Factory 3.5lb disconnector Competition Trigger Spring Skate board tape It took 2 weeks to get all the parts. Fitting and tuning the parts were fairly easy, just a couple hours of work. I love the current setup, i think i have done all that is needed. Test fired today and the trigger is the best i have used. I also got a Bladetech DOH. Edited June 4, 2006 by Musky Hunter
