Genghis
This weekend at Double Tap I had the distinct pleasure of having someone regale me with tales of my own lack of prowess. The Standards stage is basically an El Pres with two no-shoots, shot strong-hand only after the reload on the second string. I couldn't find the dot shooting strong hand only (maybe because I hadn't practiced it). I muttered "Where the f___ are you" (which may have been in my mind, because it didn't show up on the video). Finally, I just put the glass on the brown and started pulling the trigger. The two no-shoots didn't appreciate my recklessness, but the brown targets were relieved when they escaped with five less holes than expected. 80 points, 70 in penalties, 24.73 sec, 0.4044 HF. I thought I'd have the lowest percentage (other than a zero) on any stage, but another guy limboed under me on a different stage. Fortunately I only had one other NS and one other Mikey for the whole match. Overall it was a very pleasant surprise. Time to practice.
shred
I discovered that once.. no matter how close the targets are, if the dot's not in the glass, the gun isn't pointed where you think it is.
