Power Pistol?

Anyone tried Power Pistol in 9mm? I bought a pound on another shooter's recommendation but haven't had a chance to run through any. Any suggested loads or experience with it? I haven't had much luck searching in the forums for it.

you loading for major or minor?

it works good for both, but better for major.

adjust the load as necessary after chrongraphing

with minor ammo, youll likely get low pressures, unburned powder,,

At night with that major PF all you can see is a yellow wall of flame from the comp. Pretty cool to look at but not much fun to shoot it like that.

Whats it like when loaded to minor, still loud and flashy (though obviously less)?

yes, im afraid there is nothing that can be done for the power pistols noise and flash...except shoot it in a carbine.

its a good powder though...and you probably wont notice the flash during the daylight hours.

I was told by a shooter that was/is? sponsored by Alliant that Power Pistol was developed for 9mm nato rounds, and works best at the higher velocities. It would not be my choice for minor loads at all, but it works great in full power .40, 10mm, and super/supercomp major loads.
