Dump1567
What's the difference between the 9mm and .40 cal. firing pin (I know the .40 has a little .40 stampped on the back)? Are these interchangeable?
Bugs Bunny
Glock makes three different strikers {9mm, .40/.357S and .45/10mm}. The 9mm & .40 are not interchangable.
Flexmoney
Bugs, Do you have any data on how they are different?
Custom Glock Racing
Glock tells that the tip of the pin on the 40 is oh so slightly longer, but I never bothered to actually mike them. matt

Flex, Unfortunately no, All I'm going on is the different part #'s from their Armorer's Manual.
A33435
He? Is that new? I have the same fringpins, and springs used in both G34 and G35. I have never noticed a difference. I changed them a few times between both weapons and never had any troubke.
Dump1567
My friend stated that the .40 and .357 sig. firing pins are longer. Supposedly for a harder primer hit? (He just took the Armorer class.) I notice aftermarket firing pins come in either large frame or small frame and there's no size difference between calibers. JetPilot
Dump - your friend is correct. As Matt pointed out, the nose of the firing pin is ever so slightly longer on the 40/357 firing pins. I also have never tried to mic them, but during armorers training at Smyrna, Glock gave us these dimensions for the firing pin nose lengths: .065 for the 9mm and .080 for the 40/357. It doesn't seem like much difference (.015) but they also cautioned us to NEVER interchange them. Thats why Glock uses two different part numbers for the 9mm and the 40/357 firing pins. Flexmoney
What about the 45/10mm? How does it differ from the others?
