Hello the forum.

I’d appreciate a gander around here. I shoot a bit, including an occasional HP rifle match with my M1’s. I found this forum(s) from a link to an 18 page thread on reloading benches. I copied a few to look at later. I just moved to central Ark., and am about to build a new reloading area in the garage (later to be moved to a small shop building). I shoot handguns for SD (or practice accordingly) and plinking. Most of any time to spare is spent riding my Kaw. Vulcan 800B.

Ask any other questions… no problem.

Hey Tommy, my name is Ron Johnston and I am a proud member of CASA. We are located 25 miles west of Little Rock on HWY 10. Check out our clubs site and give me a jingle if you have any questions.

Welcome. :)

But be careful. The gallery has a way of making your checkbook cringe with thoughts of a new blaster...

Thanks for the reply. We recently moved. That, with a 20% cut in pay has put a bit of damper on new acquisitions. Still, one can dream and scheme!

:D

Tommy

Welcome.

There is some fun pistol shooting in your area.

Please share some of your M1 info (and pics?)

Thanks for the welcome. My M1's are nothing terribly special, 2 M1's, match conditioned, with new USGI barrels. One has a lug welded to the rear of the receiver.

Below's a link to a photo (I hope). It's not a great photo, but the best one I have handy.

Hello Mr. Johnston, Thank you for the welcome. I'll check out your club's site. At first glance, it looks to be about 60 or so miles from me. Do y'all shoot any NRA HP rifle?

Tommy, we at CASA don't shoot HP because we can only shoot out to 140 yards.

But Benton Gun Club shoots HP and so does Camp Robinson. Look them up in the phone book or online.

Come visit us on USPSA match day. It's the first Sunday of every month. Starts at 10 am.

See ya,

Ron

Ron,

FYI, NRA hi-power can be shot on a 100yd range....called abrivated just get the correct targets. For those interested ;)

Tommy,

It is a little bit of a trip but the Memphis TN club has the full course Hi-Power match every month, and there are a few good shooters there......check them out at....www.memphis-ssa.com....or something like that I usually miss it too when typing it in.(they are on my favoites list now)

Plus they shoot USPSA on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the Month year round.

Welcome to the forums :)

Sir, Thanks for the reply. I've never tried the USPSA shooting, but would watch a match some time. Sun. mornings are not likely to see me at a range but rarely. Still, thanks for the invite.

Sir, I think that Memphis would be a stretch for me nowadays, unless I decide to indulge in Leg matches. Still, thanks for the reply.
