Bul SAS 5.7 feed ramp malfunctions, OAL

Good Morning fellas, 

 

I run a Bul Radical 5.7 in 40 cal with MBX competition mags. I started with an OAL of 1.18, which run fine in the factory mags, and went down to 1.147. At 1.147, I get feed ramp malfunction every 15 rounds or so when using the MBX mags. The gun shipped with 3x different guide rod springs and I am currently using the heaviest at 16 lbs. I'm using 180 gr FMJs from Precision Delta and using a Dillon 750. I appreciate the help!

If the rounds feed OK at 1.18, why load shorter?  I run my .40 loads at 1.20" OAL as that length feeds best in my guns.

My recommendation would be to go back to the length that works best in your gun.

My .40 2011 hates anything shorter than 1.18, I'd stick with the precision delta stuff you know works

I load to  1.200 in my Radical 5.4 and never had any issues in 5k rounds.
