eerw
from reading the USPSA rules.. there is a restriction on placement of equipment..position on the belt in relation to the shooters body there is a restriction on holster type..no race holsters, triggerguard covered and front cut no lower than 1/4" from the ejection port. but nothing about type of belt or mag holders to be used. maybe you can show your friend the rulebook. IDPA has a rule about belt going through the loops I believe.. Edited November 5, 2005 by eerw
Jman
pretty sure you'll have no problem with the overbelt. as long as your holster is not of the 'race type' and it's location, along with your mag pouches are behind the hip bones (diagram F3 in the rule book)
Matthew_Mink
Don't sweat it, its perfectly legal. USPSA only stipulates no race holsters, everything else can be as racy as you want or need.
