Best digital calibers and Chrono?

Nothing wrong with a dial caliper, but there are two ways that a digital is superior:

 

- resistant to drop damage. Dial calipers don't handle drops well, even the expensive versions

- ability to zero for relative measurements. Dial calipers are more difficult for this, mainly if the measurement is more than one revolution of the dial.
