Colt1991
I've built a Power Point presentation of my last vacation and now I need to know if it's possible to convert it to an AVI or to a MPEG file so I can send it to friends and family who don't have Power Point. SiG Lady
Couple of things I found quickly online....... http://www.powerpoint-to-dvd.com/ http://www.downloadjunction.com/product/software/31135/ http://www.softforall.com/Multimedia/Video...nal07070244.htm http://www.filehungry.com/english/relates/...werpoint_to_dvd (Disclaimer: I have no experience with these. It just indicates that, yes, you CAN convert PowerPoint to other media types). Edited September 16, 2005 by SiG Lady
Shooter Grrl
Powerpoint has a built in app called "pack and go" under the file pull down. Use it, it will bundle a view with the slides. No need to convert to anything and it should be a much smaller file than a movie too.
George
One of the best ways to get it into the hands of folks without PowerPoint is to "Save As" and select the JPEG option which will result in a folder of JPEG images of all the slides. That works for anyone and is emailable if there aren't too many slides. Otherwise the export to movie method is still my preferred way to hand it to someone without the bucks for PPT. Just burn it to a CD and send it to them via snail mail. It will show them any animations you use that way and be the most reliable way if their machine supports the codec you use (QuickTime, or Windows Media). Note: PPT Package needs a copy of PPT on the system to play. -- Regards,
