BillR1
I'll be shooting my first sanctioned match this weekend with a gun that I'm concerned about the weight. None of my previous matches has the gun been even close, but this one comes in on my scale at 44.6 oz. Should I be concerned about the scale at the match not reading the same? How close to the line do you guys run on gun weight? TIA! Edited August 1, 2019 by BillR1
shred
In USPSA, scales are supposed to be calibrated with check-weights. You should check your scale to make sure it's in spec. Take a similar-weight object to the grocery store and use the produce scales and compare (pop your gat in a paper bag if allowed) or muck about with measured quantities of water or stack up a bunch of known-weight bullets (437.5gr to the oz)
