The Heat In Florida

Its hot on hell in Florida this summer the clubs are making the match shorter do the heat

I guess I haven't paid attention to FL, but know that it was COOLER in Georgia last weekend than it has been in Ohio and the whole Midwest for what seems like a couple of months....

Our club has been using a generator and fans to move the hot air around. It's amazing how much it helps. Canopies for shade and lots of water are the only way we can make it in South Alabama.

The match I shot last weekend here in NJ was beyond hot. We had one person get close to heat stroke and he had to be moved the club house and cooled down. Most people where is some state of unwell. I drank gallons of water but that only helps to keep me hydrated it doesn't do enough to keep me cool because with high humidity sweat doesnt work. You still sweat like mad but evaporation doesnt happen so cooling doesnt happen.

Yeah, if any of you were thinking about checking out an IPSC match in a gravel pit in central Mississippi, I can tell you it's not really cool there either. At least not for the first hour or so. After that, you quit sweating and get light headed so you don't notice the heat nearly as much.
