shooting for M
So I shot a Gen 5 G19 yesterday. Seems like the trigger is a bit lighter than a Gen 4 with the same factory connector. I wanted to compare it to a new Gen 4 so to start out i did the dot torture and the Practical Shooting Academy trigger stripe drills. When doing reloads, I was having issues with the front of the mag getting caught in that new cutout. My reloads aren't what they once we're, but still not a complete train wreck with other platforms. Anyone else experience the same thing? Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
Agent #1911
No issue here. The trick is try to get the magazine as parallel to the grip as possible. If you insert the mag slightly diagonal towards the front of the grip, you will get pinched.
lumberjack149
I find my gen 5 easier to reload vs. my gen 3 but i also internally beveled the cut out area you are talking about
shooting for M
Thanks for the replies. I just wanted to verify it was just me. Nothing more training won't fix.Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
AZGunut
Funny thing is all Glock 17/34 up until maybe 2010 had the half moon cutout in the grip. only Gen 4 and recent gen 3 have a closed in front. I prefer the asthetics of the closed front but reloads are roughly the same between the two.
