gravedigger
HI guy's,can it be done can someone become Grand Master shooting a para 45, any big names out there that shoot 45.
TriggerT
No question it can be done. I believe TGO used a 6" .45 to win the first L-10 title. If you are talking in Limited, then I think it is a little harder, since you are giving up some capacity to the .40 shooters.
rtr
Dean Williams TY38471 shoots a .45 S_I and he's a GM.
gmshtr
Actually Ron Avery (GM) used a single stack 45 to win the first L-10 National Championship in 2000...not to be a stickler or anything Travis! I also achieved my first two 100% classifiers with my Colt SS 45 when there was no Lim-10, and made GM on the next cycle. The classifiers usually aren't specifically geared to be hi-cap biased. So, I guess what I'm saying is, "yes" gravedigger...it can be done. I'm not sure if someone could be totally competitive at the top level in Limited with a Para 45 just because of the significant magazine capacity difference, but they could certainly make GM. $.
Loves2Shoot
Ditto to the above, .45 just cost more to shoot.
