jazz
Greetings, Received a new 999111//EA9B Small Frame 9mm Wednesday. Couple of hundred rounds since. I am convinced it is a shooter, but the required sight picture with stock sights is such that I have to cover what I am shooting with front dot, i.e., I can't see what I am shooting at. I don't see this model listed within current EAA website. Any suggestions for an adjustable rear sight that is compatible with existing dovetail spec, i.e, that doesn't require machining? Thanks in advance for your advice.
MemphisMechanic
What made you decide to buy it in small frame? Shorter trigger reach, or you already had a bunch of CZ mags?

dogtired
I don't think you will find the price worth it. I assume you were shooting at the small squares? It seems that you have it figured out...
dogtired
I have a low profile and high profile sight for the witness. Roughly 3/8" dovetail, 70 degrees. Measure the depth and width And I can give you an idea if they drop in.
jazz
Hey dogtired, sorry for the delayed response... Not sure how or even what to "measure". Can you advise?

dogtired
LPA makes two sights for the Tanfos. A high profile and a low profile.
dogtired
The high profile is silly tall and ugly and poorly executed with the front sight, the low profile is silly long. This is with a vintage slide, new stuff may have different dimensions. Edited July 11, 2017 by dogtired
MemphisMechanic
Thanks for further convincing me that I'm going to have the front of my budget Tanfo cut for a Novak dovetail, and use Dawson's perfect impact guarantee to get my "1911" perfectly sighted in by returning the first one for free. dogtired
Actually with the Dawson calculator and your present sight measurements, you will probably hit it on the first try.
