BreenMachine945
I'm sending an STI 2011 pistol to be hard chromed, I was going to save the disassembly and reassembly fee by doing it myself. Can anyone tell me if the plunger tube and ejector need to be removed as well? Sent from my SM-G360V using Tapatalk
Sarge
How much is the fee? Sometimes parts don't fit right after chaining. If you send it to APW and let them take it apart they can make needed adjustments to the gun to maintain proper fit. But to answer your questions the plunger and ejector got chromed. You have to take the ejector out either way if you are chroming the frame. APW is a full gunsmith shop and will do things right!
BreenMachine945
Good advice...it'd worth a little more to have it right. Thanks again[emoji106]Sent from my SM-G360V using Tapatalk
Dan Sierpina
The plunger tube is integral on a 2011, you can't remove it.

I thought he meant the plunger that catches the safety. I guess that's different than the plunger tube itself.
