I take the stock guiderod and spring out of my G22 every 5-10K rounds whether it needs it or not and put it in my G17, then I put a new factory stock rod and spring back in the G22. The G17 uses the 'broken in' setup from the G22 for long enough that I can't remember when I changed it last, then I put it in a bin of parts almost certain to never be used that would make a packrat proud just in case I need it LOL. I really appreciate the sales success of the aftermarket guide rods and springs for Glocks, keeps me going for very little money and my Glocks running flawlessly. glock17w Posted February 26, 2006 Share Posted February 26, 2006 I put a 13# ISMI in my G17 and I was using full power ammo. John Nagel replaced it with a 15#. The 15# ISMI spring felt much better.
