First Benelli

So I think I finally have the scratch to make the jump to 3gun. I'm planning on purchasing an M2. I believe I read somewhere that the field model is the preferred starting point with the m2, and then do whatever mods one feels they need. I'm thinking the 11016 model. With the longest Nordic extension I can get.

M2 field is what you want.

24 or 26 inch barrel and either 10 or 12 in the tube seems to be the consensus.

I like 12 to simplify stage planning but it does get a bit unwieldly at times.

Don't ignore the option of picking up a used M2 if you find a good deal. There are duck hunters out there who might put less than 100 rounds per year through a Benelli and then sell if for ~700-800. Assuming it wasn't abused they have done the work of breaking it in for you and you can save $400 to spend on ammo, a tube, and a TTI lifter.

I lucked into a lightly used M2 Field 26" for $800 and will never look back! So much lighter and handier than the Mossbergs and Remingtons I have owned and shot previously!

i have the 21" with 10 shells Nordic ext about 2.5" longer than the barrel using Briley extended LM works great
