TTi base pads with stock spring and follower?

I bought TTI 4g basepads, springs and followers for 2 STi 140mm and 1 sti 170 9mm. Problem is now the follower gets jamed up at the bottom. Guessing due to the ribs needing to be extended. They will be shipped to Taran to be tuned and worked over. That will be a couple of weeks since I have some comps coming up. So question is, can I just the base pads, and run stock spring and follower? I feel like the stock spring would be too short for the new basepads....

Its not so much the spring but the extended base pad and the thin

competition follower that lets the

follower drop lower in the mag below the ribs and roll.

The stock follower is probably taller but the extended base pad will

let it drop lower as well. It won't be as bad as the TTI follower.

You won't know with out trying.

I would just go back to what worked. Stock pad, follower, spring until

you get it sorted out and have time to test it out.

Not usually good to be testing at the match's.

"Not usually good to be testing at the match's."

Agree

Go back to stock parts UNTIL you have time to get the mags worked

OR

Work them yourself there is about a 100+ threads on here about how to get those mags running

with the TTI pads and guts.Usually just a matter of working the ribs on the side where the first round goes so there

is a smooth transition from the flat area to the ribbed area.

Good fortune at the match!

Thanks for the input guys. I've put everything back to stock. Been running 100% since day one. Taran offered me a good deal on getting them tuned, so I'll let him work his magic. Hopefully it's all good for nationals.
