DKnoch
So i have polished my trigger bar, sear, hammer, and a few other contact points. Also did a tiny bit of mating the sear to hammer. In an Op Spec video i have, Bruce Gray says to be careful removing material, because they are only surfaced hardened parts (paraphrasing). I have a 19lb hammer spring in, as the 17 was unreliable in a match with CCI primers. The double action pull is close to a guys legion that has a lightened hammer spring in it. I still need to add a p-sait trigger. My single action trigger is pretty good, but would like to shorten the take up some, but not to a dangerous level. Anyways to do that on by messing with sear and hammer? Or will the trigger help when i get it? I would put it on a pull gauge for weight, but the one that i have sucks. Ill get a lyman pull gauge someday Daniel K
Round_Gun_Shooter
Shorten your firing pin spring so it has one or two coils past the end of the pin and then try the 17# spring again. It might solve your problem with the 17#
JAFO
A P-SAIT only lessens overtravel. It won't do anything for take-up.
