XL-650 Questions

Hi All,

I just got my new XL-650 this weekend. I bought it set up for 9mm, but I'm ready to get the pieces to load .38 short colt. I already have the Lee Short Colt die set from my old 550. Is this the proper list of goodies?

• .38 special caliber conversion
• Dillon large pistol case feeder plate
• Purple .40 case feeder adaptor

38 special shell plate

small pistol case feeder plate works for me

i used to use the green 9mm case feeder adapter plate, but I reamed it out with a drill bit to the very next size to fit the 38 short colt case. ( still worked with 9mm )

Looks like your setup will work.

Here's my setup

9mm powder funnel/flaring die. The .38/.357 might work, but I don't know for sure.

Large pistol case feeder - I get occasional hangups at the mouth of the case feeder so the small could work better.

Purple (40 cal) case feeder adapter

the rest of the components are from the .38/357 caliber conversion kit

I'm using dillon 9mm dies for seating and crimping.My sizing die is a Lee undersize .38/.357 special die.
